It was here a couple of days ago!!  then the big ol cold front hit and we lost our heat and sun down here…but 55 is a pretty great temp for one who is used to it being freezing temperatures.   Illinois is suffering from the cold..so I am NOT complaining.

Today, cous & I did a massage!!  Lunch at Olive Garden and a little shopping trip thru Target.   I made sure I got a super thick/warm housecoat for these cooler nights.  I am soo relaxed and hopefully not so sore tomorrow..plan on doing another massage next month. 

Tonight, / cous thought she’d get me to do Kareoke!!  But i CAN’T carry a tune in a bushel basket…and strongly/firmly declined getting up in front of anyone to make a fool of myself..like talk a song,, – that’s the only safe way to keep everyone from getting up and leaving.

I’m sleeping in tomorrow!!  She wore me out today.   And there is a Flea market here tomorrow that I want to go to…  Everyday there is something going on around here.   So I could run myself ragged…but I’m setting out for awhile..maybe join in the card game tomorrow night.   OK??   There is only one of me and I can’t do all the events.   Darn it all!!

Here are friends and Cous Joyce with hubby on the right.. red top.  We all just ate at Martha’s..home cooking!!   Good food.   

So from this date onward things started to go to HeLL in a handbasket.  The little trailer had mold and God knows what else hiding in there,, I HAD A HORRIBLE allergic reaction,   got moved into a bigger, better place (312) all during a 2 day cold rainy spell.  Which let to a bout of Pleursey..antibiotics, heat pad and pain pills today– and I MISSED the massage today and canceled the Hair apt for tomorrow.   Hope I get over this soon.  

Not a fun vacation when crap happens.   But you should see the CARD that Cous of Mine got me.. I’m another year Sexier!!   Right-as I gasp in pain!.. Love ya, cous.

I made it right on schedule and without incident.   Cous Joyce was there to find me at the airport and I spent a great night getting rested and reacqauinted.    On the 15th I got registered at Weslaco Trailer park..and into the little camper.

My what a dreary little place.. if it wasn’t for the wonderful weather and my cous, I would head right back to Illinois.  There are alot of really nice people (my age) here and we gather in the evenings in a little community center to play games.  there is a pool table, shuffle court, puzzles and tons of books to keep you intertained.   I am much happier since getting a cable hook up and my internet back.   It makes the camper homier and not so desolate. 

I don’t think I could live here year round..well definiately not in this small place.  It gets horribley hot in the summer..and the a/c doesn’t work here.  But for the Winter months and temps, this will do.  

My Cous & I have a weeks worth of Fun planned for our birthdays this December.   So we are certainly “reconnecting” in our usual silly ways!  Hoping to figure out the windows 7 program so I can show ya some photos.. still learning all the new stuff..

Today is the day… catching the plane at 10 am and will be in Texas by 7 pm tonight.   gotta change planes x2, but I’ll be there!!     Jet lag here I come.

Once I get settled  and acclimated.. I’ll let ya know I made it.

ONLY 2 MORE PILLS before I fly outta here!!   I count down the days by the daily pill I have to take.    Tryin not to get excited, but can’t help it.   That Cous of MINE is calling about everyday and telling me all the stuff we can do together.    I remind you now that this is the same cous who pushed me into the Lake with all my New clothes on and then runs yelling to MY MOM that I fell in.    The one who shoved me down the sand  bank cause I was ahead of her on the swing.   And who pushed me out of the row boat so I could learn to swim.    Between her and My Uncle Bill (whowas 2 years older than I) It’s a wonder I survived childhood-He broke my tail bone during a yard game of football, threw me over his shoulder during our jitterbug days and cracked my head on the ceiling.   But I love “em.. we’re family and with birthdays in December that we got to share & celebrate them together every year.

Uncle Bill passed away in 2000/01 with pneumonia.  So that leaves only Cous & I to get into trouble.     I wonder if we could hang her by her feet from a  bridge, again!!     Or maybe we could sneak off and go skinny dippin one more time.    I could scare her with those calls of a “bob cat” if I could lure her out into the woods!!     And maybe find some poison oak or ivy to put her sleeping bag on…  

See she was raised in the city  & I am a country girl… I know how to survive!!

It is a day early, but she will be out of town on her Special day..  We did the cake & ice cream and traditional singing.. LOL.    Sorry no Pics..per her request.  It is HER B/D..

Trivia for you.   I was born in 42..(DD#2’s age)   I’ll be 67 in Dec (the year she was born).    Now how often does this happen??    

OK, so I fibbed about NO PICTURES.. I couln’t resist!!

My Mathmatical Genius (DD#1) tells me this happens everytime one of my Children turns 42 Year of  MY Birth!!     Interesting, huh?  

9 more days b4 I am sitting in the Warm Texas Sun!!  I got my Cell Phone yesterday..so there isn’t another gadget out there that I will want or need!   Ya gotta remember I am from the crank, party line generation of telephones.   And now I can carry the darn thing in MY POCKET!!   Yeah, we’ve come a long way, Baby!

Really, I am just enjoying the peaceful evening with reading a good book.  Lestat the Vampire vol 5.     Love that Anne Rice series and promised myself I would get this series read  ON MY KINDLE!!

All done with the top.. this is on a twin size bed.. just not long enough to cover it entirely(no pillow top covering) , but I’m leaving it this size..makes a great table cloth or wall hanging or  Crib size .   I could just throw it over a couch or bed.    We’ll see.   I really don’t wanna mess with it for awhile. 

Total cost: around $40-50.   That’s just in material from wally world.  I had alot of the white fabric already.     I think MY GRANNY would be proud!!  Complimenting me while pointing out the mistakes she saw.. Yup, double sided and 2 edged sweet talker- That’s My Family!!
