Fighting off a “bug”, but needed to get some extras up here. So another page was added of a few layouts I did in Sept. I am looking for a friendly digital-scrapbooking forum and thought I’d found a home at Gingerscraps.net, but they have been unavailable for the past week, so I played over at DDDW since they just opened.
I find many forums to be repetitious and clicky. But the main problem I see with so many scrapping sites is lack of member participation. Many sign up, grab the FREE stuff then forget to come back. There is little if any comments in the gallerys after you complete a challenge. No one reads the descriptions or has much to say, except.. “nice LO”. Or “TY for doing my challenge”. OK, so we know who cares and who doesn’t. RIGHT?
Everyone wants to DESIGN KITs.. but the market is saturated with FREEBIEs.. Therefore not much profit in the designing end.. Til the freebies change. Of course it’s a hit or miss if the free stuff is top notch or just someone who still needs to learn all the tricks.
Another pet peeve I have is the image sizes or previews in a “store”. I have found some to be too darn small..and if they don’t catch my eye, I won’t stop and take a closer look. And have ya noticed that every kit will have the same elements-just recolored or changed a bit. Not much NEW is happening in the digi industry, except everyone trying to jump on the band-wagon of designing.
And how many of us really “print out” our pages and put them into scrapbooks?? I don’t see that happening very often. So where does one put their “pages”. I keep mine on CD’s and EHD. Til I get rich enough to have them printed.
Ok, time to take a pill and hope this “BuG” goes away as fast as it came. I am hoping that a Cousin will show up this week to bring me some genealogy goodies…photos!! baby!! photos!!
